Welcome!

We are the Sumner County Branch of the NAACP.

The NAACP was founded in 1909, and our branch was founded in 1968 in Sumner County, Tennessee.

Although we have a storied and prestigious history, we still work to increase our memberships and maintain relevance for the next 100 years. We can only do that through your participation and membership. Much has to be done before discrimination and inequity for all, especially People of Color, will be no more. Become a member and join us in the fight for Civil Rights and equality!

We also ask the youth of Sumner County to join our branch’s Youth Council. This is a perfect way that people aged 13 to 21 can help us better understand the issues facing Young People today, especially when it comes to mobilizing first time and younger voters.

Regardless of your background and demographics, join us now!
