Part of what we do for the community, including NAACP members and unaffiliated people, is listening to formal complaints related to discrimination in Sumner County as it relates to our Mission:

The mission of the NAACP is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.

If you have a discrimination complaint, we have a process for addressing it.

      1. First, please complete the form below so that we may reach out to you and gather more information.
      2. We will speak with you over the phone in order to better understand your complaint.
      3. Once we have spoken with you, we will determine whether or not to file a formal complaint using our appropriate form.
      4. The next steps will depend on a variety of factors. We appreciate your patience throughout the process.

We will not accept complaints submitted via any other areas of our website, social media, or over the phone without you having completed the initial complaint form below.

IF you believe you have a discrimination claim, you MUST file a claim with the appropriate State or Federal agency in a timely manner. Failure to do so may prevent you from pursuing a claim in a court of law.
